Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down based on standard protocol and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
